— “In June of this year, a delegation led by our regional governor (hokim) visited China to hold negotiations with investors. As a result, an agreement was reached to attract $1 billion in foreign direct investment by the end of 2028. This investment will facilitate the implementation of major new investment projects in the chemical industry within our district,” said Sherzod Zayniev, Deputy Governor of Karmana District. "According to the agreement, a 100-hectare plot of land has been allocated within the district for these developments."
A 104-hectare land plot was selected for this initiative under a resolution by the Cabinet of Ministers dated November 12, 2024, on measures for implementing major investment projects in the chemical industry in Karmana district. The proposal submitted by the foreign enterprise “Zarafshon Industrial Technology” LLC was identified as the best offer and the land has been allocated accordingly.
It should be noted that these projects are expected to create over 2,000 new jobs in the district. Additionally, the facilities to be established by the enterprise will be located away from residential areas, with provisions for continuous environmental monitoring to ensure minimal impact on the surroundings.
