WWII veterans to be awarded 20 million soums one–time cash payment
The Decree of the President of Uzbekistan "On awarding the veterans of World War II " was signed.
According to the decree, May 9, the Day of Remembrance and Honor is widely celebrated in our country as a national holiday. It serves to perpetuate the memory of our ancestors who died in World War II, honor the veterans who still stand among us today, contribute to raising the prestige of our Motherland, and educate young people spiritually and morally. On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the victory over fascism, a one-time monetary award of 20,000,000 (twenty million) UZS has been designated for each veteran and disabled individual of World War II. This award aims to provide financial encouragement to war participants and disabled veterans.
Expenditures associated with executing this Decree are funded through allocations from the republican budget of Uzbekistan.
