Uzbekistan and Mongolia launch comprehensive partnership
The leaders of Uzbekistan and Mongolia agreed to establish comprehensive partnership relations between the two countries.
Following high-level talks held in Ulaanbaatar, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh signed a Joint Declaration on the Establishment of Comprehensive Partnership Relations.
Additionally, the following documents were signed in the presence of the presidents:
- agreements on cooperation in the fields of plant quarantine and protection, higher education, mining, environmental protection, crime prevention and counteraction, healthcare and medical science, physical education, and sports;
- a memorandum of cooperation between the archival agencies of the two countries;
- cooperation programmes were signed between the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Economy and Development of Mongolia; between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs for the period 2026–2027; and between the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth of Mongolia for the period 2025–2028;
- a cooperation plan to expand collaboration in the field of agriculture, signed between the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia;
- an action plan for cooperation in the field of ecotourism, signed between the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth of Mongolia.
