" You made history as the first female from Uzbekistan to win an Olympic medal in taekwondo. We followed each of your performances with great excitement. You have demonstrated exceptional martial arts skills and a true warrior spirit. We are very proud of you," said the President to Svetlana Osipova.

Talking to two-time Olympic champion Bahodir, the President congratulated the boxer on his historic victory:
"Congratulations on your historic victory from the bottom of my heart. Once again, you have shown the world that you are unmatched in the heaviest-weight category. This brings us immense pride and honor. You promised to bring home gold from Paris, and today’s historic victory fulfills that promise. Many more great victories are still to come. I am confident that hundreds, if not thousands, of Uzbek champions, will be prepared for the big rings at the boxing school of excellence named after you in our capital," the President said in his conversation with the two-time Olympic champion Bakhodir Jalolov.
