During his visit to the Andijan region, the President of Uzbekistan held talks with representatives of foreign companies interested in launching investment projects in the area.

As highlighted during the meeting, Andijan is set to launch 763 small and micro hydroelectric power plants (HPPs) this year, generating 24 megawatts of electricity, with an additional 20 megawatts expected next year.

One Chinese company expressed interest in setting up local production of equipment required for micro HPPs. It was also noted that the newly built plants will receive free maintenance services for one year.

A day earlier, large-scale urban development projects were announced for Bobur City. Many investors have shown interest in participating in the cityʼs development.

Among them, a Chinese investor is planning to invest $250 million in constructing a modern complex. The project envisions a business center, a hotel, shopping malls, and residential buildings designed to accommodate 3,000 families, spanning an area of 55 hectares.

At the meeting, detailed information was provided about this and other proposed projects. The President instructed relevant officials to intensify efforts to attract investment, work closely with investors, and ensure favorable conditions for project implementation.

The Presidentʼs visit to the Andijan region concluded here. The Head of State returned to Tashkent.
