Hasanboy Dusmatov wins Gold Medals at Rio 2016 and Paris 2024!

Uzbek athletes continue to compete at the Summer Olympic Games held in the French capital.
Our boxer Hasanboy Dusmatov, competing in the -51 kg weight category, defeated Bilal Bennama, the top-seeded representative of the host nation, in the Paris Olympics final.
In the exciting match, our compatriot outscored his opponent 3:2 in the first round, 4:1 in the second round, and 4:1 in the third round. With this victory, Hasanboy becomes a two-time Olympic champion.
It should be noted that Dusmatov's path to the final was outstanding. Hasanboy defeated Kazakhstan's Saken Bibossinov in the quarterfinals and Cape Verde’s Daniel David Varela de Pina in the semifinals.
For reference, Hasanboy Marufjonovich Dusmatov was born on June 24, 1993, in Andijan region. He previously won the gold medal in the 49 kg weight category at the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Summer Olympics.
Our compatriot also triumphed at the Universiade Games in 2013, the Asian Championships in 2015, 2017, and 2022, the Asian Games in 2022, and the World Championship in 2023.
Earlier, Ulugbek Rashitov also won the gold medal.
