An 18-year-old Uzbek chess player defeats Magnus Carlsen in just 3 minutes
Almas Rakhmatullaev defeated four-time world champion Magnus Carlsen in the 'Titled Tuesday' chess tournament. He demonstrated his potential by scoring 8 points out of 11 opportunities in the evening round of the competition.
Rakhmatullaev displayed a remarkable game, defeating several strong chess players, including notable opponents such as Magnus Carlsen and Arjun Erigaisi.
The "Titled Tuesday" tournament is a popular online event hosted on the Chess.com platform. It brings together "titled" chess players—those who possess at least a title of Master or higher—to compete in blitz format. The tournament's prize fund is 1,600 USD. The first-place winner receives 750 USD.
It should be noted that although Almas Rakhmatullaev did not reach the prize-winning positions, he demonstrated his potential on the chessboard.
Earlier, it was reported that Nodirbek Abdusattorov could earn more than 1,250,000,000 UZS.
